Transport ROAD Warkworth is situated on the A1068 road. This was originally an old corn trading road and it links the town to Alnwick in the north and (via the A189) to Ashington in the south of the region. The A1 is less than a 20 minute drive from Warkworth and gives easy access to Edinburgh and the north, and Newcastle upon Tyne and the south of England. RAIL The East Coast Main line can be accessed at nearby Alnmouth station (about 5 miles away on the A1068).
